Senior Citizen Issues
The 13th Congressional District’s senior citizens need accessible public transportation, daily support for things like shopping, access to medical care, and social interaction. Our seniors need the ability to remain in the area, without having to forego basic quality-of-life services. As with the District’s child care needs, Mr. Fenstermaker is dedicated to ensuring that the communities within the 13th Congressional District are welcoming and realistic homes to our residents as they age. Seniors are particularly vulnerable because they rarely continue to work and, as a result, are unable to meet the rising financial demands in the District because of the increasing living expenses as more and more residents move to Upper Manhattan and The Bronx.
