National Security/Foreign Affairs
Mr. Fenstermaker, who is an honors graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, the American military’s prisoner of war training, and formerly held a Top Secret, SCI security clearance, believes that the public is being misled regarding the threats that the United States faces. This policy results because special interests, both foreign and domestic, benefit from the perceptions generated as a result of this policy. The campaign of propaganda is designed to create a sense of justification for military adventures and foreign policy initiatives that benefit a small segment of the American population and certain of our foreign partners, but not our society as a whole.
ISIS, like al Qaeda before it, is not, and has never been, a credible military threat to the United States. However, through clever manipulation of information available to the public and the lens through which that information is disseminated, the government has successfully mired America in a needless war for the past 15 years. That war, it seems, will never end. The American public has the right, and deserves, better information regarding the nature of the threats that we face. Without that transparency, we cannot make the decisions best for our society. Mr. Fenstermaker will bring that transparency, and more importantly, knows how to do it.
